Reminders
It's Administrative Professionals Week! Let's celebrate our AMAZING office staff this week!
More information about the popsicle parties will be coming out on Monday. If you have already planned for and purchased the popsicles, turn the receipt in to Adriana and we will reimburse you. Also, let me know when the party is so I can stop by. Otherwise, I am hoping to engage the lead room parents to help us with all the parties. THANKS AGAIN for your participation!
If you are tutoring or have clubs meeting after school, please make sure that the office has a Building Use Form from you. Parents often call the office and ask about after school activities- so having this information from you will really be helpful.
It is not too late to order those class group pictures from First Photo- however, all orders from parents can only be done online at this point. This can be done at www.1stphototexas.com
Alicia is working hard on the master schedule and will have that out at some point next week. Once that is delivered to you, please meet as a team, discuss the master schedule, look for our mistakes, and make suggestions. Please remember, we will work to meet your request. However, everyone will need to exercise flexibility in one way or another.
Please make sure that you have completed your class cards for class making. Next week I will be working with team leads to ensure that we have our schedule nailed down for class making.
A budget request form was given to team leads. This asked you to prioritize budget items from the PTA. You also have the opportunity to request additional items. Team leads - please make sure that you have turned this in to Adriana.
PDAS summative conference will be scheduled soon. We will bring in subs and schedule these throughout the day. More information to come.
Thanks to everyone who went to the Spring Party! This is one of PTAs biggest fund raisers of the year :)
Thank you for turning in your proof of address envelops into Pat and for working with your parents to get registered. If you haven't turned in the envelop, please go ahead and do that.
Here's a shout out to our Music teachers for a super fun and engaging performance this week! And to our Chinese teachers for creating a high - level challenging activity for our immersion kids! Congrats to our FPS kids for going to the next level of competition! Cheers for James Young for all that he does to keep us online and tech ready! Thank you to Kinder for taking in the Pre-K kids this week :) The flexibility award goes to 4th grade for eating with your kids in the classrooms when the Chinese contest ran long. Kudos to 3rd grade for excellent playground supervision! Thanks to everyone who completed the GT portfolios and TELPAS writing samples!
Your the best staff in town!! I love ya and appreciate you! Everyday.
Doss was host to District FABPAC meeting
This committee is in the middle of reviewing all of the many challenges facing all of AISD and working through the logistics of potential recommendations. They are holding their meetings in various AISD schools to get a hands on view of some of our facilities.
It was a great opportunity to share the Doss facility needs with the consultant and district staff.
Earth Week
This week is Earth Week! We will be sharing information with the Doss community and with our students via announcements. Please encourage student participation as much as you are able.
Mon 4/18- Idle Free Zone - leaving cars on while waiting for pick up harms our environment. Turn your cars off while you wait.
Tue 4/19- No Trash Lunch- try to pack a lunch that does not produce any trash.
Wed 4/20- Biking/Walking - walking and biking to school means less cars are producing pollution!
Thurs 4/21- Recycling - what can we recycle?
