Proclamation of 1763
The king of England said the colonist' could not go into the Ohio River Valley because he didn't want to pay for another war.
Stamp Act of 1765
The British government taxed newspapers, licenses, and colonial paper products. The colonists felt their rights were violated.
The Townshend Acts of 1767
The Townshend acts passed duties on lead, paint, paper, glass, and tea. This made the colonists extremely mad.
The Boston Massacre-1770
When the tensions of both the colonists and soldiers exploded, one of the soldiers fired his rifle, shooting one of the colonists. Following that soldier, the others started shooting causing five deaths.
The Tea Act-1773
The Tea act mad all colonists mad because everyone in all of the 13 colonies drank tea and now it's going to cost even more money than before.
The Boston Tea Party-1773
The Boston Tea Party occured when the colonists had had enough of all the taxes; therefore, the colonists got revenge on the tax payers because they could not reach the king. Some striped the tax payers of their clothes and pored hot wax and feathers on their body, and also hot tea down their throats.
The Intolerable Acts-1774
This act had several effects. One was Boston harbor being closed until Boston had paid for all the tea lost in the Boston Tea party (in todays money it would be around $3 million).
