Gold goes back thousands and thousands of years. No one is sure who or what discovered it. Although it is old, it is one of the most malleable metals known to man. It also is very resistant to tarnish so it will last you a while. Gold is known for being a sign of wealth and beauty. Gold's beauty, scarcity, and unique density and the ease by which it could be melted, formed and measured makes it very valuable. Gold can be found on almost any continent, but it is found in very small amounts so it is rare. Making products out of gold can be sold for high prices since it is rare. Some products that could be made with gold are rings, earrings, golden teeth, necklaces, and some currency is made with gold.
