Spring Title: The Innovator's Mindset: Empower Learning, Unleash Talent, and Lead a Culture of Creativity by George Couros
George Couros is one of the most thoughtful speakers on ed tech out there. Following him on Twitter and reading his blog over the past few years has challenged me to reflect on and rethink my practices. #growthmindset. I am seriously pumped to read his book, which was just published in October.
How does it work?
The book club is entirely virtual. On Monday of each week, a discussion prompt is posted on the book club blog. Participants respond to the prompt at any time during the week, engaging with educators throughout Indiana.
I will send reminders each Monday to provide you with the necessary links.
East Porter's experience in the book club this past Fall was more than positive. We read Matt Miller's Ditch That Textbook. It was fun to interact with colleagues each week. We had fun incentives along the way and a casual gathering to wrap things up at the end.

I would like to encourage East Porter County educators to participate in the IDOE eLearning Book Club, but I in no way take credit for the work done by the blog moderators. I am simply facilitating East Porter's participation!
I hope to see a presence from each building for the Spring book club!
