Hill Elementary School ~ June 1, 2015

Happy June 1st! Wow, time really does fly when you are having fun!

Thank you for continuing to turn in positive office referrals. I was able to make 8 positive office phone calls just last week. To date, we have twice as many positive office referrals than we do discipline referrals. This is fantastic!

I have began to work on staff evaluations and will also begin to work on classroom placements this week! Please make sure that you turn in your promotion cards by Friday, June 5th if you have not already. Thank you!

End of the year data is starting to roll in and I am so excited while looking at the growth our students are making. In the Fall, 84.9% of our students were at benchmark for the DIBELS assessment and at the end of the year 91.2% have met benchmark! When looking at overall student growth of 80 points/Core in kindergarten we reached 98%! This is quite impressive! I can't wait to see the rest of our data as we complete end of the year assessments!

Just a few other reminders as we begin our week together:

Hill Family Picnic- Our family picnic is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd. We have 475 RSVP's so far! Unbelievable!!! The weather looks like it is going to be perfect!

Copy Center- Crystal Chambers sent out an e-mail last week regarding Summer requests. Remember this is the time to prepare for your fall copy needs and requests can only be made up to 60 days in advance. (August, September, and October) When preparing your copy requests, please be sure to fill the form out in it's entirety.

M-STEP- 3rd Grade students and teachers will complete the M-STEP assessment on Wednesday. Thank you to all staff for your flexibility during this testing window. I am so proud of our staff!

We have a staff meeting on Thursday. Please let me know if you have any agenda items that you would like added.

Have a wonderful week!
