Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow

Happy Monday! Hope you guys had an amazing weekend and ready to get to it!

School Board/Millage Election

The election is tomorrow. Tuesday, September 20th. If you live in the Van Buren School district it is so important that you vote! We will not have team meetings that day to allow you time to get to the polls. When you leave to go vote, please make sure you sign out through the office. If you do not have core team meetings, please let Dr. Moore or myself know when you would like to go vote, and we will make sure your classes are covered. Administration is providing a flyer for you about the millage vote, and we will put it in your box when we get it, but here is a link to it digitally.

Talk SMAC

We are talking some SMAC is this afternoon at 3:05 in the conference room! Our topic today is blitz day and the 2016-2017 budget. We are all about 10% problem, 90% solution. Hope to see you there!

High School 101

Under the new policies this year, your contract includes Open House, Parent teacher conferences, Academy Awards and 6 additional hours. Those 6 hours could include staff meetings, parent nights, etc.

Your first opportunity to get some of those hours is Monday night at High School 101. Tammy Poole needs help! If you would like to get two hours out of the way, we need help from 5:00 - 7:00. There will be a sign in sheet in the office.

Please sign in on the form below if you plan to be here so that she knows who she can count on. Thanks for your help!

Volleyball

Volleyball is at Greenwood today and home Wednesday against Trinity! They are off to an amazing start - Come cheer on your lady Pointers.

What a hard fought game against Morrilton last week!

Proud of the effort our guys are showing. We are at home Thursday against Darby @ 7:00. Hope to see you there!

Blitz Day is tomorrow!

Please have all of your grading up to date and any missing assignments in the data base. ICU doesn't do any good if we don't stay on top of the paperwork! Dr. Moore sent the schedule and duties on Friday. Let us know if you have questions.

UAFS visits

What an amazing visit last week! Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it happen, especially Amber, Gina, Linda and Sheila!
