School Nutrition Program Update
Earlier this week, the USDA granted some additional waiver extensions for our School Nutrition Program. Based on the guidance received from GaDOE, we are able to offer meals at no charge for all students through 12/31/20. This includes in-person and digital students. Curbside pick-up meals are available to anyone 18 or under at no charge, and the child does not need to be a GCPS student. Curbside service is still Monday through Thursday.
Boosterthon
Mountain Park PTA's annual fundraiser begins today with our Virtual Pep Rally. Funds are being raised to purchase additional Chromebooks and technology for our students. During our two weeks of fundraising, students will learn about five character traits in fun and engaging activities. The program will conclude with our virtual dance fit challenge on September 17.
To start helping our school, register your student on funrun.com and start reaching out to sponsors to pledge for your student! Once you do that, it's as easy as sharing your student's pledge page to spread the word to the rest of your community!!
Specials Classes Clarification
Digital students are participating in two specials activities per week, depending on the class they are currently attending. Most of these lessons will be asynchronous (recorded). This has not changed since we began the school year.
