A Message from the Principal
Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,
I hope that you and your children were able to enjoy yesterday’s snow. I saw quite a few snowmen in my neighborhood, it brought back happy memories from my Wisconsin childhood!
Last Wednesday, Nurse Lisa, Maria Orand, and I, gave a safety presentation at the Home and School Association meeting. We reviewed the protocols we have in place for the various safety drills and that we have on campus each year. We will be having a planned school lock down drill on Wednesday, January 20th, that the teachers and students will be aware of, and prepared for. Here is a copy of the PowerPoint presentation from that meeting, please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Ms. Jan Barker is featured in the January-February 2021, VOL. 37/No. 1, issue of North Texas Catholic! Here is a quote from the article, “History is so intertwined with the Church that Barker can’t imagine teaching in a public school. ‘Catholic education is in my blood. I don’t know how to teach history without Catholicism, how not to rely on faith.’ “
We had a fun mini curbside Pep Rally last Friday to celebrate our upcoming live stream Pot O’ Gold. Don’t forget to register as an online bidder at http://PotOGold2021.ggo.bid Bidding begins on Monday, February, 1, 2021.
February 19 is a noon dismissal day, and the teachers will schedule Zoom Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences for that afternoon. The teachers will be working with the ACT Aspire benchmark testing results and helping each student set academic goals for the rest of the year. It is important that your child attend the conference with you so that we can all partner to support your child’s goals.
Today we had honors assembly during Monday Morning Prayer. Here are the students that were recognized for Accelerated Reading, Honor Roll, and Duke TIP. We are proud of our students!
