Upcoming School Events

We had a wonderful Open House on May 4th and appreciated everyone's attendance as we celebrated our bright-eyed learners. Here are some of our end-of-year celebrations and events:

Last Day of School

The last day of School is June 3rd for grades 1-6. On June 3rd School Hours are 8:25-11:25. The last day for kindergarten students is June 2nd. Kindergarten Graduation is also on June 2nd. Please look for important information regarding the Kindergarten program and end-of-year from your child's kindergarten teacher.

Field Day

Another fun tradition is returning to Jane Addams with the return of Field Day on Tuesday, May 31st. Grade levels will be competing through the day and Mr. Walker is looking to support us all with fun, creative activities. Please dress for the day and the weather.

PTA

DATE CHANGE for May PTA Meeting! Our May meeting will be May 25 at 7:00pm. All are welcome, please join us at this this zoom link!

SAVE THE DATE for Donuts with Grown-Ups!!! Please join us before school Friday, May 27 from 7:30-8:15 am for a donut breakfast with your child! Watch for a flier with more info coming home soon!

A BIG THANK YOU to Alana Muñiz and her team of volunteers for all their work during teacher appreciation week! Thanks to many parents' time and generosity we were able to provide the staff with two meals, some sweet treats and a small gift card during the week!

Moving 15 Forward

CCSD15 will host a Multilingual Parent session for families that speak languages other than Spanish on May 18. Families interested in participating in the Multilingual night are asked to register by 5/16 to ensure we have the necessary translators. Click here to register!
The May 24, 2022 session will be available to our families that speak Spanish as their first language.

The Moving 15 Forward Event has been changed to May 26th at Winston Campus Elementary beginning at 6:00 p.m. As mentioned prior, please consider attending to learn more about this proposal designed to address long-standing educational and facility needs. It includes updates to educational offerings and the programs and services that benefit all students in our District.

Visitors in our Schools

We are please to re-welcome many visitors back to Jane Addams. According to District 15 procedures, when visiting a school, all visitors are required to do the following:

Enter through the designated visitor entrance door.
Sign in to the school’s visitor’s log, providing any pertinent information listed on the log (i.e., name, destination, reason for visit, time-in/time-out, etc.).
Provide personal government-issued identification card in exchange for the visitor’s pass.
Visibly wear the visitor’s pass that is provided by the school’s office personnel for the duration of the visit.
Be escorted by staff to their destination, if staff is available.
Observe all laws, school policies, procedures, and rules while visiting the school.
Sign out of the visitor’s log and return the visitor’s pass in exchange for personal government-issued identification.
