Message from the Director
Hello CNUSD staff,
It’s time for a little March Madness! Well, I guess you could say this entire school year has been filled with a little madness. However, we are still here working together and collaborating with our students and families to ensure success for all. A big shout out to our elementary school teams who are leading the way in our school reopening. You are all rock stars!
This month I am adding a new section that will focus on how the work from the Parent Center supports our district wide focus on providing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for our students and families. This month we will focus on Tier 1.
Read the newsletter closely. You may just be our Lucky March Leprechaun winner. We have big prizes this month due to the generosity of our community partners.

Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
Our office is intentional about providing a Multi-Tiered System of Support for our families. Below you will find a few of our Tier 1 supports that you can use.
Family Engagement Tier 1 Level of Support for All:
- Enrollment Support- ALL Families who are in need of support in enrollment including uploading documents can receive one to one support via telephone or in person by appointment. Parents can make an appointment by calling (951) 273-3132.
- Parenting Classes- ALL classes are open to parents regardless of where they are in their parenting journey. Our next class is Loving Solutions and will begin in April. Watch for registration details coming soon.
- College and Career Parent Education- ALL families can learn how to support their children as they pursue a college education or a career after high school. These workshops focus on career opportunities, college applications, FAFSA support and obtaining scholarships. This is done through our Beyond the Cap and Gown Series. Check out our website for more information.
These are just a few examples of how we provide support targeted to ALL families in our district. More to come next month!
