Barry's topic for the evening will be:
“A Sneak Peak at Life in an Emerging Beloved Community”
“In holistic spiritual community, the tasks of Christian ministry are not performed by egocentric personalities or celebrity ministers eager to brag about their spiritual conquests. Rather, in a beloved spiritual community, ministries of discipleship, evangelism, missions, and social justice are accomplished by constituents of the body of Christ working in tandem, individuals co-laboring with humility, generosity, and durability, in such a manner that the body of Christ gets the tribute and not a singular individual.”
-Barry Howard, “A Sneak Peak at Life in an Emerging Beloved Community”

Enneagram Workshop
On Monday, October 22, we are excited to offer a 1/2 workshop on the Enneagram. The Enneagram is a map that illuminates nine distinct patterns of the human personality. It is a powerful and practical system available for lending emotional and social intelligence to creating and sustaining relationships. This workshop will offer an understanding of the system and an introduction to the 9 types. Participants will leave with the framework and tools to continue their own further exploration and discovery of the Enneagram for their own lives.
The cost of the workshop is $10.00 per person, which covers your registration fee and your lunch.
Melody Harrell was born in Jinja, Uganda to missionary parents. She has a BA degree in Education from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Melody and her husband, Sam Harrell, were appointed field personnel through CBF for 17 years in Africa where she served as secretary to the Board of Directors for Africa Exchange. She led a spiritual formation group for women in Nairobi and contributed to various ministry efforts related to work with orphans and vulnerable children. She is qualified to conduct workshops and retreats using the Enneagram methodology of personality and spirituality. After moving to Atlanta in 2016 (when her husband Sam became Associate Coordinator for Global Missions for CBF), Melody became certified in Spiritual Direction through the Haden Institute.
