School Happenings

Summertime at Buckingham

Buckingham continues to prepare for the exciting school year - 2014-2015! Our summer staff is working hard preparing the school for children and teachers:

  • Administrative staff is busy creating schedules, finalizing class lists, updating the website, last-minute registrations, and completing staffing assignments.
  • Our summer custodians are thoroughly cleaning our halls and classrooms - brightening our building interior and exterior - all throughout a few short (and humid) summer weeks.
  • Additional summer repairs and projects: sealing the parking lot, plumbing, tile flooring repairs, insulation, sidewalk repairs, building beautification, the outdoor classroom construction, etc. - will be happening soon to help keep Buckingham beautiful!

Please continue to enjoy your summer vacation - we look forward to welcoming our new students and look forward to the start of school!

Buckingham's Veggie Garden

Throughout the summer, a few dedicated families have been helping maintain our Veggie Garden - reaping the rewards of our spring plantings! Our Veggie Garden Program was started to help our students appreciate the work and effort it takes to grow food - to learn about cultivating plants - and to enjoy great tasting natural, raw foods. Thanks to every parent who helped volunteer throughout the fall, spring and summer!

If interested in helping volunteer on the team beginning in the fall of the 2014-2015 school year, please contact Mrs. Jill Jankowski for more information - 973-477-1810. Thanks to Jill for all of her planning, organization, and continued dedication!
