In Person Learning or Learning at Home

There will be another opportunity to transition to either learning program when we begin the second marking period. If you plan to make a change from your current program, In Person Learning or Learning at Home, a parent must email by OCTOBER 16. The second marking period begins on October 26.

Reminder of COVID Safety Procedures for In Person Students

  • Students must complete their Health Screening each day before coming to school.
  • All students must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth throughout the day. They may remove the mask when eating or drinking. In addition, their mask may be removed for specific activities that permit them to do so such as vigorous exercise and/or playing an instrument.
  • Students have scheduled hand washing twice each day and are encouraged to sanitize as necessary.
  • Students wipe down work spaces upon entry to each class.
  • Temperatures are taken for every student upon entry to the bus or to the school building.
  • Students enter, exit the building, and transition classes in cohorts.
  • Building opens at 7:32 AM and closes at 3 PM daily.

Pick Up Location for a Student who is Sick at School

Any student who becomes ill while at school will need to be picked up by a parent/guardian or another adult approved by the parent as soon as possible. Our Quarantine room is located on the South side of the building. Please drive your vehicle to the junior high staff parking area closest to the fitness center. The door for the room is located near the back of the cafeteria entrance. When arriving, please call 517-769-8673. We will escort your child to your vehicle.

Update on Attendance Policy-

Students are expected to attend school both, In-Person or Learning at Home, each day. If your child is going to be absent, please call the school at 517-769-8673 to indicate the reason for their absence as well as if they are an In Person or Learning at Home student.

Saturday School Sessions are Back

Columbia Central will provide high school and junior high students the opportunity to attend Saturday School sessions to make up work for classes. There will be staff available to support students and to ensure a quiet learning environment. Students will need to sign up 24 hours in advance to be able to attend. Only 15 students are permitted to attend In-Person. All COVID-19 Safety Procedures in place throughout the school week will apply at Saturday School. We will send the sign up form to all students.

If your child is in need of any academic support, please encourage them to attend.

We will also offer a Zoom invitation for students who would like to join remotely.

First Marking Period Saturday School Sessions will be held from 9-11 AM in our library.

Picture Day-September 17

Picture Day will be on 9/17 for CCJH/HS! Learning at Home students are invited to come between 8-9 AM. In-Person students will follow. Photo sessions will be held in the gymnasium to allow for proper spacing of students. In addition, COVID safety protocols will be followed. Order your pictures now at Picture Day ID-EVTSXNJ6P

Eagle Pride SPIRIT

Eagle Pride will be starting up next week! The Class of 2022 are the reigning champs for two years in a row! Will they be dethroned or will they repeat again? Student Senate has an Instagram and Twitter page. Please check your student emails for the usernames. We will be posting Eagle Pride events and updating the points on there. Listen to announcements next week for the first event. Let the competition begin!
