Volunteer Spotlight: Distribution Team Member

This person will work with our current distribution team to assemble what is needed to be sent home to parents via hard copy. The role involves photocopying, counting papers/flyers and occasional collating of information that needs to be sent home in students' folders.
    • 1 volunteer to work with our current volunteer

    • Time commitment: This is a weekly commitment; however, some weeks there is nothing to be sent home. Volunteers meet every Thursday morning. The amount of time required each week varies but rarely is it more than a few hours (some week we do not have anything that needs distributing).

If you are able to help in this role, please email Amy Toland (

PTA Meeting Wrap Up and Thank you!

Thank you to those of you who were able attend our final General PTA meeting of the year. We appreciate your support in helping us to elect our Executive Board for the 2018-2019 school year, pass our budget amendments from this year and pass our budget for the coming school year. We enjoyed hearing from our new principal, as well as, hearing the sweet voices of our littlest Pandas, our Kindergarten students. We were happy to recognize and thank a few of our 5th grade parents who are leaving Penny Road and have been especially helpful to the PTA over the years.

It is with a grateful heart that I acknowledge the following parents who will be leaving the PTA Executive Board and have given so much of their time over the years. Lindsay Tremelling, Sherri Stecher, Laurie Cockman and Jennifer Greco have given more than 15 years of service between them. We are all so appreciative of their time, energy and effort.

I would also like to recognize and congratulate Jennifer Greco who was honored by the Wake County PTA as Penny Road's Volunteer of the Year. Jennifer has worked tirelessly as our Vice President of Fundraising this year and Vice President of Programs last year. She has co-chaired the Spring Carnival these last two year and been a room parent extraordinaire over the years. On behalf of all of Penny Road, congratulations Jennifer!

Thank you everyone for supporting our 2017-2018 PTA!
