From the desk of Dr. Ricks
Parents and Friends,
Wednesday, we had a wonderful honors ceremony followed by the 2018 National Junior Honor Society induction. We also honored our students who competed in the Science and Social Studies fairs at both the Regional and State levels. It is impressive to note that at the Northeast Regional Science Fair, Grace submitted projects in 13 categories, and we placed 1st in 10 of them. In several categories, we placed 1st and 2nd, and GES also took home 2nd and 3rd Overall (Best in Show). We had successful showings at State with three of our students placing in the top 10% of all competing projects. Congratulations also to the students who placed in the Regional Social Studies Fair--we had several winners including a 1st place showing. This speaks so highly of our students and teachers, and what amazing testament to their dedication to learning, research, and presentation. Thank you to the parents who work closely with their children and teachers in preparation for such a rigorous process.
Finally, Teacher Appreciation Week was phenomenal! We were pampered, thanked, and gifted by such sweet cards, letters, treats, and flowers. We are blessed to work with these amazing children; it is a joy. Have a restful, prayerful Easter weekend.
Warmly,
Dr. Ricks
