Answer: Argentina celebrates Carnival and Reyes Mangos. Carnival is a holiday leading up to Easter when people dress up and sing, dance, and parade. Reyes Mangos commemorates when the Wise Men visited baby Jesus. The night before, Argentine children leave their shoes on the window sill, along with water, grass, and bread for the kings camels.
Geography
Answer: Argentina has a mild climate, but can be very hot in the north and very cold in the south.The climate of Argentina is marked by seasonal change characteristic of the temperate in middle latitudes, like the United Sates. This means Argentina's seasons are opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere.
Resources/Economy
Answer: Agriculture, or farming, is very important to the Argentine economy and made it one of the wealthiest countries in the world during the 20th century. The country grows large amounts of wheat, corn, and sunflower seeds. Argentina's economy is now a upper middle income economy.
History
Answer: Argentina gets it's name from the Latin argentum, which means silver. Traditionally called the Argentine in English. The first use of the name Argentina can be traced back to the first voyages made by the Spanish and Portuguese conquerors to the Rio de la Plata.
