A Note from Me
Let me just start with a huge THANKS for everyone's participation in Monday's MAP Growth Professional Development. I think it was a much needed training especially for those who are beginning to dig even deeper into MAP and all it has to offer us.
What a week we had last week! There was a great deal of personal reflection on instructional strengths and areas of need. This personal reflection, while potentially causes struggle, the struggle can be very productive. It is not a surprise that we have to be vigilant in our quest to provide the best Tier I, II, and III instruction for our students to really receive all they deserve so they can truly perform. I am confident that our results will leap by the year's end. Your ability and dedication is no less than extraordinary.
I was reminded this weekend of the parable of The Sower. Without getting preachy, the Sower threw seeds on all types of ground. Needless to say, the seed didn't all fall on good soil BUT that didn't stop the Sower. He knew his job. We have a job to provide GOOD SEED for EVERY student. We must take care of the seed and the ground the best we can. That is all we are asked to do - OUR BEST everyday. We have so much to look forward to as you find new ways to sow the seeds of knowledge.
In closing today, I want to remind everyone that our commitments, either personal or those documented in 4DX, are just that - COMMITMENTS. Don't let your team down because it is a reflection on us all. Do what you say you'll do and you will be amazing every time!
Looking forward,
Joy

ARTS INTEGRATION
Want to see more arts integration? Please follow the Bobcats on Twitter. I Retweet other Arts' Schools' Tweets. That is what we need to see to compare.
AAB (Potential) PARENT NIGHT IS HERE
Please let me know if you will be participating in the Potential Parent Night this Thursday from 6-7. We need 1) reps from each grade level to answer questions of parents about your grade level; 2) tour guides; and 3) a couple to man the snack table.
If you have already volunteered, THANKS. Please come by the office and
give Kendra a head's up.
Finally, spread the word about the night. Your parents may know
families that will fit right in our family.
Mason's Message
Thank you for a great inaugural Arts Integration Day collaboration. Many ideas were shared, developed and will be instrumental in helping us become a fully integrated Fine Arts campus. Please use the remainder of this week to fully develop your arts integrated lesson, continue to collaborate with your grade level and/or Fine Arts teachers and I will be sending the Google document by Friday for you to enter your Arts Integrated Lesson plan into.
I look forward to seeing your new arts-infused lessons in action in the classroom and how creative and innovative your students will become as a result.
