If you plan to attend your child's Holiday Party on December 15th, please be sure to stop by the front office during school hours between December 5th & 14th to pre-register. Pre-registering saves time by allowing you to bypass the front office check-in line and go straight to the staff entrance at party time. Please note that you only those listed in Skyward as parent/guardian or emergency contact can attend class parties. The safety of our students is our top priority!

Classroom Holiday Parties

Each classroom will host a holiday party on our last day of school, December 15th. Please see below for the party schedule:

7 Mindsets

The mindset for November and December is Attitude of Gratitude. The Attitude of Gratitude Mindset teaches us the importance of seeking the positives from every experience and being thankful for all that we have. Through this mindset, we learn that we can use the positives or the negatives of our lives as the foundation on which to build.

Thank You KME Families!!!

Thank you to everyone who donated food for the food drive. The food was donated to Gram's Love, a nonprofit organization. The food has already helped many students and families in the Tarkington area.

Congratulations to the House of Freedom/Blue House!

The House of Freedom

House Color: Blue

House Motto: 100% Accountable

The House of Freedom:

Is 100% Accountable, And Responsible For Our Actions

The House of Freedom/Blue House brought in 242 items for the food drive benefiting Gram's Love. To show their appreciation, Gram's Love will be providing popsicles for each student in Blue House.

Backpack Buddy Program

Many children rely on school meals for breakfast and lunch during the week but go home to little or no meals on the weekends. The Houston Food Bank’s Backpack Buddy program works to fill the weekend gap for chronically hungry children by providing nutritious, child-friendly food for children to take home over the weekend during the school year.
Backpack Buddy Program Application

Please complete the application if you are interested in participating in the backpack buddy program. You may turn the application into Christie Fernandez
