From the Principal's Desk
Greetings CLRES Team!
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend.
As we head into these last few days before the end of the 2nd quarter, please consider what opportunities you have provided students as it relates to complete and incomplete assignments that will affect their 2nd quarter grades. Also, consider how you have communicated academic concerns to families. Report card grades should not surprise anyone if we communicate effectively with families.
If you have not selected a time to meet with me for your MOY Conference, please do so by COB Wednesday, January 18. Also please make sure you have completed the MOY reflection questions in eDoctrina before your scheduled meeting time.
Let's make it a great (short) week on purpose.

Grading and attendance
As we head to towards the end of 2nd quarter, please be sure you are adhering to the attendance policy as it relates to grading. If students do not complete work during their absence, a zero is given for the missing grades. If a student is chronically absent from your classroom and missing assignments, the grade should be reflective.
Please review AP5113 as it relates to attendance and grading.
Black History Month Committee
The Black History Month 2023 theme, “Black Resistance,” explores how "African Americans have resisted historic and ongoing oppression, in all forms, especially the racial terrorism of lynching, racial pogroms (an organized massacre of a particular ethnic group) and police killings," since the nation's earliest days. Purpose - To plan school-wide activities for students and families and culminating program that addresses this year's theme. Team - Ideally we would like representation from each grade level, but all are welcome.
Please add your name to this google form and we will set a time next week to meet.
