Dear Parents and Carers,

It just seems to be getting colder and colder doesn't it?.

We have had another stunning week of learning here at Balladen. I feel so proud of what takes place here each and every day. The children at our school are enthusiastic learners who are willing to try new activities. The adults who work at Balladen all do their very best for all of the children all of the time. What a wonderful place to be!

At Balladen this week we have had:

  • Assemblies
  • Cricket coaching
  • Swimming lessons
  • A trip to see Cinderella at The Octagon in Bolton
  • Football and sports clubs
  • Learning using the sense of smell in our Reception class
  • Retelling traditional stories in Year 1
  • Learning about fractions including halves and quarters in Year 2
  • Labelling skeletons in Year 3
  • Learning about eating healthy foods and the importance of sleep in Year 4
  • Learning how to solve short division problems using the formal written methods in Year 5.
  • Exploring the correct order of operations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in Year 6.

The learning never stops at Balladen Community Primary School.

We are all really looking forward to our Christmas Fair next week. Please do come and buy some tokens before the fair as it will save you rusing on the day! Please do have a chat with anyone in the office if you have any questions.

Have a wonderful weekend. I look forward to seeing all of those Monday smiles!

With respect,

Mr Neil Ringrose
