Christmas Concert This Sunday

Join the band and chorus for their annual combined Christmas concert in Morris Auditorium Sunday afternoon, December 14, at 2 p.m. This free concert will feature middle school bands and choruses.

Homecoming Plans & Dress-Up Week

Homecoming is always a special time as alumni and friends gather and reminisce about their years at and memories of Mars Hill. This year's Homecoming will take place Saturday, December 20. The court will be presented at 5 p.m. followed by varsity games against Deshler. Make plans to be here!

Middle and high school students are invited to dress up next week to show their Panther spirit. Here's the Spirit Week schedule:

  • Monday: MondayU (Favorite College or University gear)
  • Tuesday: Ohana (Hawaiian getup)
  • Wednesday: Sleeping Beauties (PJs)
  • Thursday: Hakuna Matata (No Worries. Come as you are.)

*As always, dress has to adhere to school dress code.

Change Drive for Isaiah's Call

Students in grades 5-8 are participating in a change drive to raise money for Isaiah's Call, which provides food for area children and their families. The drive, sponsored by the Student Council, is an awesome opportunity to help needy people in our area and will continue through next Tuesday.

The 68th edition of the Mizpah is now on sale. You may order on the school's website or complete a form available at MHBS. In order to get the best price on the 2014-15 yearbook, you should place your order before December 20.

Prices until December 19: $65

December 20-February 26: $70

February 27-April 30: $75

After May 1: $80

Christmas Cooking

The athletic department will be cooking hams, turkeys, and boston butts Tuesday, December 23 for Christmas. All items are $35. If you would like to place an order contact Mike Mitchell @ mmitchell@mhbs.org or 256-366-4081. Meat will be ready to be picked up by 4 pm.
