Update from Mr. Simmons
Dear Red Hawk Nation,
Last Monday, we welcomed our K-9 unit to complete another random sweep of a few of our classrooms, locker rooms, and parking lot. Our intent with these is to keep our campus as safe and secure as possible, using proactive and intentional measures to keep this school a drug, alcohol, and weapons-free zone.
We encountered some “false hits” from the K-9, and a small number of students were found to be possessing contraband. We are proud of our kids, as they continue to take greater ownership of their school. We will continue to enact these randomized searches throughout the year, with our purpose being of the safety, health, and support of our champion students.
