Please remember that Wednesdays ARE school days and do count for attendance. All teachers hold morning meetings, many groups are held throughout the day, and of course most of the work is asynchronous, (independent work). If you have questions, please email you child's teacher!
Congratulations to three of our teachers who were awarded Hillsboro Schools Foundation grants! Ms. Underhill, 2nd grade, was given money to purchase books around diversity both for her classroom and to provide for her students. Mrs. Chronister and Mrs. Schwartz were given money to use for virtual outdoor school activities for their students to ensure our 6th graders have a memorable outdoor school experience. I am so proud that these teachers took the initiative to go after available funds and create exceptional learning for their students.
Hopefully most of your tech concerns have been addressed, but don't forget that there is always someone to help! Here is the link district page about Comprehensive Distance Learning which includes info for tech support: https://www.hsd.k12.or.us/Page/6425
The end of semester 1 is next week and teachers will have a grading day on Jan. 29, and a planning day on Feb. 1, so there will be no school on those days. Also, Martin Luther King Jr. day is Jan. 18, so no school on that holiday as well. Please mark your calendars!
Please reach out if I can help in any way, my contact info is below. Have a great weekend!
