Peek at the Week
April 29-May 3
ILEARN Testing April 22-May 1
We will begin the official ILEARN test on Monday morning. The testing will last 5 days for third grade and 7 days for fourth. We will administer 1 test per day. Most of the tests are predicted to take the average student about 100 minutes. Some of the tests at least 130 minutes. According to IDOE some students may need to continue the test the following day. There is no time limit so students can actually work on one test for the entire school day and beyond if necessary. Beth Armstrong, Kelly Johnston, Deb Meadows, Fernando and I will be testing all seven days along with the third and 4th grade teachers. We have over 60 students receiving some type of accommodations. We will most likely be doing make ups May 1-May 7. Audrey and Tammy will be the only office support available in the mornings to help with discipline.
The following areas will be used for testing purposes:
Third Grade Wing
Fourth Grade Wing
Amy Freeman's Class
Maker Space Room- Ana and Fernando
First Grade Wing, Room 6- Deb Meadows
Room 23- Kellly Johnston
Beth Armstrong- Front Offices (Ana and Beth's room)
Kindergarten Special Education Paras may use the cafeteria or room 19.
The resource room will be closed in the mornings (hopefully only the mornings) for the next seven school days.
PLEASE ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO BE RESPECTFUL and QUIET in the hallways.
Specials teachers please be flexible. Classroom teachers please communicate to specials teachers if you know your class will not be going to specials. At this point, third grade is planning on specials each morning.
