Band Camp 2021
We are excited to see you THIS Thursday!!!!!
Band Camp for all Wind Players begins THIS THURSDAY, JULY 22 AT 8:00AM. Please plan to meet in the PSHS Auditorium on that day at 8am. Students should be prepared every day for camp with instruments, water, marching attire, athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops), hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and MORE WATER. Students will have a lunch break from 12-1:15pm. Students may go off campus to eat lunch or bring a lunch and eat on campus.
The schedule for Thursday and Friday is as follows:
- 8-10a Marching Sectionals (outdoor marching fields)
- 10:30a-12p Band Sectionals (indoors)
- 12-1:15p Lunch (on your own; on/off campus)
- 1:15-3:15p Playing Sectionals (indoors)
- 3:30-4:30p Band Sectionals (indoors)

A reminder: Summer Camp attendance is expected and required for all Plano Band students. Marching spots are assigned based on the following criteria: marching competency, camp attendance, & spring audition results. We appreciate so very much your understanding and support to ensure that students are present for the entirety of summer camp.
One parent of each band member is required to attend the Plano Band Parent Meeting on Tuesday, July 27th at 7:00pm in the PSHS Auditorium. We look forward to seeing you then!
The Plano Band Leadership Team has done an absolutely incredible job preparing for band camp. Our Colorguard & Drumline have also been working extremely hard this week. Warmest thanks to all of those students for their wonderful efforts, commitment, energy, time and hard work work this week!! We are already inspired by you all!
Please be sure to drink plenty of water and eat breakfast before coming to camp each day. Students must bring PLENTY of water to rehearsals daily.
Best wished to everyone for an incredible journey this year! It is our hope that every student enjoys a rich, meaningful, personal & musical experience while you are a member of the Plano Band. We can't wait to see you on Thursday!!!!
To ensure that you are keeping up with the latest Plano Band requirements & events, please make sure you complete the following tasks if you have not already done so:
- Login to your account at www.cuttime.net and make sure you account information is up-to-date, including a good, working email address! (NOTE: Please add the address noreply@cuttime.net to your list of safe emails!)
- Subscribe to the Plano Band online calendar here
- Join the "2021-22 PLANO BAND INFORMATION GOOGLE CLASSROOM" OR use join code jrjram3.
- SUBMIT A COMPLETED MEDICAL HISTORY & PHYSICAL EXAM FORM. (BLANK FORM ATTACHED). Please submit both forms under appropriate assignment on the 2021-22 Plano Band Google Classroom.
- Contact Amy Sims if you still need to order required marching gear/pay uniform fees. Please do this ASAP if you still need to order supplies!
- Be ready for an amazing 2021-2022 school year with the Plano Band: great music, great friends, great fun!!
