South Dakota Share-It is an interlibrary loan service that is provided at NO COST to participating libraries. Interlibrary loan is a service whereby a user of one library can borrow books or receive photocopies of documents that are owned by another library. And while you may do this within your own district or even participate in ILL via your public library, did you know that your school library can participate in the SD Share-It program, as well?

The SD State Library ILL program is happy to supplement your school library collection by providing students and teachers with additional print and digital resources. Participating school librarians most often utilize ILL to help students complete research projects.

In this week's School Library Scoop (below), I show you how to access more information about the Share-It program, how you can participate, and how (once you are a participating member) to request material from other libraries.
