In addition to new information, some of the topics at the bottom of this newsletter are repeats from last weeks email. However, I simply wanted to make sure you were well aware so we can help you have a smooth transition back into school.
See you soon!
Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

Back To School Supply Drop Off and Picnic!
- Kindergarten: Thursday, Aug 8th 11:00-12:00 pm.
- 1st through 5th Grade: Monday, Aug. 12th 4:00-5:30 pm.
- All Families: Back to School Picnic - Monday, Aug. 12th 4:00-6:00 pm.
We look forward to seeing each family at our Supply Drop Off / Back to School Picnic scheduled for Monday, August 12th. The Supply Drop Off for 1st through 5th Grade students will take place from 4:00-5:30 PM. You will have an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, drop off their supplies, and tour the school.
Please enter the school through the front doors. I need to get 426 high fives by the end of the night. :) We will have friendly staff waiting to greet you and point you to your child's new classroom. When you are done in the classroom, join all the Anderson families for a Back to School Picnic on our playground. You can bring your own picnic dinner or we will have Jersey Mikes available (for purchase). Don’t forget a blanket and/or folding chairs.
Our Anderson PTO, along with several other community organizations, will have booths set up in the gym to help you get connected with opportunities for your child and ways to volunteer.
I encourage you to follow the schedule below for supply drop off.
4:00 PM to 4:30 PM – Last names beginning with A – I
4:30 PM to 5:00 PM – Last names beginning with J – Q
5:00 PM to 5:30 PM – Last names beginning with R – Z
This will assist us in meeting your needs in a timely manner and should cut down on the crowds in classrooms when dropping off supplies. However, please understand you are welcome to come anytime between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
The building will be organized as follows during Supply Drop Off:

Transportation Information
Transportation route information will NOT be sent home through the mail and can only be accessed online. Please note that for the first two weeks of the school year, the district will not make adjustments to the transportation routes. Our transportation department will collect suggestions about the routes and will make adjustments where necessary after the first two weeks of classes.
School Safety Reminders
As you may recall, last summer District 303 enhanced security measures and procedures in all schools and buildings.
When you visit Anderson, you will notice interior locked vestibule glass doors and windows that allow for more secure entrances. During the school day, we ask that visitors come to the main school entrance, press the buzzer, stand in front of the camera before identifying themselves and providing the reason for their visit. Visitors will be buzzed into the vestibule by school staff.
Items such as lunches, homework, or instruments can be easily dropped off in the vestibule or passed through the window. Items will be brought into the school by a staff member.
Paperwork that needs to be dropped off may be placed in the slot at the window.
If a visitor needs to come into the office or building for a specific reason, the individual will be asked to present identification that will be scanned into an electronic visitor management system. Visitors will be issued a temporary ID to wear while in the building and will be asked to check in the office for direction.
The safety and security of our students, staff members, and visitors is a top priority for District 303. We appreciate your assistance in our efforts to improve our secure learning environments while still maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in our schools. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
1000 Bonus Points if you have filled out the form below. It takes 37 seconds.

Who is my child's Teacher?
Short Explanation:
The D303 Home Access Center (HAC) will open up on August 5th for all Elementary Students. Log-in and see your child’s teacher.
Long Explanation:
Please make sure you are currently registered to access your child’s classroom assignment on the Home Access Center (HAC). If you previously registered, your login names and passwords have not changed, and you do not need to re-register. If you are new or have not previously registered, you must have a current and valid email address on file, with the school. If you have not provided a current and valid email address you may do so by calling the school office. (331) 228-3300.
For initial access to a HAC account, on or after August 5th, please follow the included steps, after providing your current and valid email address to the school office:
Go to the district website at www.d303.org and click Parent Login near the upper-right corner. On a mobile device, open the navigation menu by clicking the menu icon in the upper-right, then scroll down and tap Parent Login
Create a username and password by clicking the Begin Using HAC icon on the right-hand side of the screen and then clicking on the To Register for HAC link
Follow the prompts to complete the initial registration and click Register – You will be prompted to use one of the following city abbreviations: St Charles, S Elgin, or W Chicago
Confirm registration and click Finish
Your password will be emailed to the registered email address you provided the school
If you receive an error message, this likely means the information on file does not match what you have entered. If this occurs, please contact the school office to make any corrections.
All active elementary HAC accounts will be accessible on Monday, August 5th. At that time, you will be able to view your child’s classroom assignment and teacher, by following the steps below:
Go to the district website at www.d303.org and click Home Access Center under the For Parents heading
Log in to the HAC by entering your registered username and password via the Begin Using HAC icon on the right-hand side of the screen
Select Registration from the menu on the left; You should then see the classroom assignment and teacher, which are labeled Homeroom and Homeroom Teacher on the right-hand side of the screen.
Curriculum Nights! Don't miss this important night.

Note, there are two nights scheduled based on grade level. See below.
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade: Monday, August 26th, from 6:00-7:00 pm.
