ICCS Mission Statement:
PRAYERS FOR THE HOLLIER FAMILY
We continue to remember and pray for ICCS parent, Jacques Hollier. Jacques passed away unexpectedly yesterday. She was the loving mother of ICCS 3rd Grade student, Liam-Joseph Hollier and wife of Billy Joe Hollier. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Liam-Joseph, Billy Joe, Jacques’ family and all who loved and cherished her. Please pray for the family’s comfort, peace and healing in the days and months ahead.
ICCS EXTENDS HELP TO ST. MARGARET CATHOLIC SCHOOL
Hurricanes Laura and Delta devastated our area, causing major destruction far and wide. Thankfully, ICCS only received moderate damage during both storms. This blessing allowed our students to get back on campus as soon as possible thanks to the hard work of mitigation and construction crews and the dedication and diligence of our amazing faculty who got face-to-face learning back on track in record time.
Unfortunately, some schools in the Diocese of Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish sustained major damage and have been unable to open for the 2020-2021 school term due to needed repairs and unsafe conditions. St. Margaret Catholic School is one of those schools.
The St. Margaret’s school community is in need of a temporary space that will accommodate some of their students for face-to-face learning until their campus can be relocated to modular buildings. ICCS will be assisting St. Margaret Catholic School with this need. Starting on Monday, November 2, St. Margaret Catholic School 5th through 8th grade students and teachers will be utilizing the ICCS 3rd Floor Annex section for face-to-face learning. This arrangement will be short term and carefully coordinated.
Special precautions and processes will be put into place immediately to ensure the safety and academic success of all students and faculty members. Daily schedules and logistics are also being carefully planned and reviewed so that there are no disruptions or major inconveniences for students, faculty members and parents.
We are being called to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to our fellow Catholic school students, teachers and families. In the midst of this chaotic start to the school year, we are thankful for our many blessings including this opportunity to model the virtues of kindness and generosity to our students.
T-SHIRT DAY TOMORROW
- All students (PK-8th Grade) may wear an ICCS Spirit t-shirt with blue jeans or uniform bottoms.
- Jeans must not have holes or rips.
- Students should abide by the official ICCS uniform code when it comes to socks, shoes, hair, etc.
Special thanks to the ICCS Student Council for sponsoring Red Ribbon Week!

ADDITIONAL DROP OFF AND DISMISSAL REMINDERS
Safety is a top priority at ICCS. Morning drop off and afternoon pickup processes and procedures have been put in place to keep everyone safe and to ensure our carpool lines and area traffic run smoothly during these busy times of the day. Please review the important information below regarding traffic flow during arrival and dismissal.
Wilson Street drop off/pickup line should enter the car line EASTBOUND from Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive, turning left onto Wilson Street. Vehicles should not come through the traffic light at Ryan Street to turn right onto Wilson Street.

In addition, families are asked to not block driveways while waiting in the pick up lines.
In an effort to move the carpool lines quicker at dismissal, please prominently display your yellow name sign when approaching the loading dock.

PRAYER AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS
O Mary, you shine continuously along our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the Cross were near to the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman people, know what we need, and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that, as at Cana of Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us, He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and took up our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
