Hello Parents and Guardians:
The weather has been heating up as of late. Hopefully, it will stay there. I do admit it is nice to see items blooming a bit not to mention maple syrup season!
Please consider attending MJT Parent University next month-details below. Please keep in mind that we are approaching the window if you become placed into quarantine, this will impact your Spring Break. We continue to adhere to all safety guidelines and recommendations. I applaud EVERYONE for the work that has been done.
On another note, our recent iReady testing has shown that our children are increasing their knowledge even through a pandemic as we reviewed data from the last two years. We at MJT are very proud of our students! Thank you to EVERYONE as it "takes a village."
Resources for assisting with anxiety during COVID:
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments.
Have a great weekend!
Respectfully,
Paul

Important Topics:
Attendance Reminders:
We are proud to state that our overall building attendance continues to increase. Keep it up families and students!
- If your child is absent and they are able to log into the teacher's Google Classroom for the core subject areas, they are eligible to receive attendance credit for the day. Please make arrangements with the classroom homeroom teacher.
- Given the timing of the absent notification (i.e. child is sick that particular day), the teacher may or may not be able to send you the paper activities that support the lessons until a later time as they will be in the middle of instruction or preparing for it.
- If your child is in a situation where remote learning pertains to them, has internet capability, and is not logged onto the teacher's Google Classroom physically at their specified time(s)-they are marked absent.
Remote Learners:
Please have materials picked-up and returned upon their due dates to ensure timely feedback.
Another parent survey is coming soon for remote families.

General Announcements:
Emergency Activity Lessons/packet GRADES UPK-2: In the event of a brief (24-48 hour) closure, an emergency hard copy packet was sent home with your child at the start of the school year with an attached letter explaining this process. These activities arranged by grade level are now also posted on our MJT Webpage for easy access. You may have received updated materials from the classroom teacher. These activities are only for a 24-48 hour closure. After this duration, we will activate our Chromebook deployment and each child will receive their Closure Class Schedule from their teacher for full online/remote learning. Faculty and Staff will be checking in with you and your child during this time.
GRADE 3: In the event of a brief (24-48 hour) closure, grade 3 will use the full remote schedule that was sent to families by their respective teachers. This is due to students traveling with Chromebooks each day.
In some cases, the re-closure work below has been updated by your child's teacher and you have been notified. Please check the Website.
