An inspired morning of wellness, improved posture with Pilates instructor Alia, and anti-aging skincare tips with Stephanie Wong of Rodan + Fields Dermatologists.

As part of our busy lives, we are on a constant journey for improved health and wellness. Although we are told we need to exercise to achieve our goals, a key piece is usually missing. That is, the important role the spine and related muscle imbalances play in exercise’s effectiveness. No matter what your exercise regime, you will benefit from learning strategies to loosen tight muscles, strengthen weak ones, and articulate the spine. Using Pilates as a framework, this event will outline common postural issues, everyday triggers that contribute to poor posture, the principles behind muscle imbalances, and the importance of the core. Effective solutions to improve your exercise plan and ultimately your health and wellness will be covered.

Join us for a interactive discussion and get ready to move! Please bring a mat and comfortable clothes.

Instructor Alia is certified in both mat and equipment through the Integrated Teacher Training (ITT) Program in San Francisco. She focuses on tailoring exercises to what each individual body needs, no matter what the fitness level.

100% of the event fee of $5.00 will be donated to Marin Charitable, an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization celebrating over 50 years of service.
