Reflections on Lindisfarne
Year 5 Quotes
'When we went to Lindisfarne, we went to the castle. We learnt how it would be to live in the castle in those days. We went to the top and there was a great view. We went in and there were loads of old bedrooms and even TNT. We had a great time.' Robert
'We were rock pooling in Lindisfarne. We found lots of hermit crabs. Lucy was an expert, she kept grabbing them and chucking them in the bucket while Leo and I were finding them. Everyone's shoes got soaked.' Viktoria
'On the boat we needed life jackets but no one fell in but safety first! We had occasional bobs but it was so smooth we could sleep on it... There were hundreds of seals. We even saw Grace Darling's home the light house! Too bad she's dead. We even waved at other people on boats.' Ollie
We went in the water and got soaked. We had fun in the sea and got soaked. We had fun in the sea and got splashed in the waves.' Grace

Choosing our lead ambassadors 2019
On Monday, election fever hit Ripon Cathedral School. Candidates from Year 6 gave their presentations to the whole school about why they should be elected as School Lead Ambassadors.
As a school we learnt about the British value of democracy and why it is an important part of our country. After the children had delivered their speeches pupils were given the chance to cast their votes!
The returning officer double checked the count and announced the winners to a very excited Year 6 class.
Oliver and Lola were announced as duly elected to the positions of lead Ripon Cathedral Ambassadors. Both pupils have already started interviewing candidates from Year 2 - 5 so that they can appoint their ambassador team and start work on supporting and developing our school.
Well done to everybody who was involved!
Early Years Macmillan Coffee Morning
It was a great success thanks to the involvement of the whole school community. The Early Years' staff worked hard running the event and our children baked buns and ensured that our visitors were suitably entertained.
A final thanks to everyone who came along to enjoy the very busy coffee morning.
Welcome Worship
Hope is the light in the darkness
that guides you when you are stuck in the dark, alone.
When you can hear your heart thumping
against your chest
Isabella
Hope is a river that can't be stopped
Hope is a power that can't be beaten
Hope is a picture that can't break
Hope is a fire that will not go out
Hope is a plant that will never die
Hope is a story without an end
Hope is a chant inside that will never go away
