Thank you Community! Special Referendum Passed!
West Genesee CSD residents approved the $40,702,000 Capital Project by passing the Special Referendum Vote held on December 6, 2021. There were 435 favorable votes and 135 votes in opposition. Thank You to the Community for your support! #WildcatPride

Music Students are Selected for Senior High All-County Concerts
Thirty-four West Genesee High School musicians will perform in the Senior High All-County Festival on January 7-8, 2022 at Fayetteville-Manlius High School. The senior high group includes grades 10-12. (For this year only, Senior High All-County was opened up to freshmen since the other festivals were cancelled.) Congratulations!

Sports Wrap-Up for Fall 2021 Recognizes Athletes
The Sports Wrap-Up is a section from the Communicator that is published at the end of each athletic season. This section lists all of the teams, comments from coaches, and awards received by the athletes.
Fall Athletes are Scholars
To receive a Scholar-Athlete Team award, 75% of the roster must have a GPA of 90 or above. Congratulations to the nine teams who qualified: Boys Golf, Boys Soccer, Boys Cross Country, Girls Cross Country, Girls Soccer, Girls Swimming/Diving, Girls Volleyball, Girls Tennis, and Cheerleading.

Kindergarten Registration has Begun
Kindergarten registration for the 2022-2023 school year opened virtually on December 1, 2021 and will go until March 31, 2022. This will allow our families to register their children from the comfort of their home or office. Please click here to start the Virtual Registration process. This will schedule a telemeeting with you.
When registering, parents should be prepared to upload the following:
- proof of residency (ie. mortgage or property statement or signed lease agreement)
- proof of immunizations
- proof of age
A physical examination is also required and a dental certificate is requested for entry into kindergarten. These examinations should be done up to one year prior to the first day of school. Children who enter kindergarten this fall must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2022.

Winter Sports Registration is Open
Information to register for winter sports is now available. Here is what you need to know:
Registration Dates for West Genesee High School:
- Girls Freshman Basketball – 12/10/21 thru 1/7/22
- Boys & Girls Varsity Unified Bowling – 12/31/21 thru 1/28/22
Registration Dates for Camillus Middle School:
- Winter 2- Boys Swim/Dive, Girls Basketball, Wrestling - 12/10/21 thru 1/7/22

Sign-ups on familyid.com are 30 days prior to the start date.
Emergency Closing Information is Important
Announcements about school closings, delayed openings, or early dismissal will be posted on the News Headlines section of the District website home page. They are also broadcast on Twitter, Facebook, and the following stations which you can access by clicking here.
SchoolMessenger communications software allows us to send emails, texts, and make phone calls. (Phone calls will be used for emergency situations only.)
Parent/Guardians and staff will NOT need to sign-up to receive information from schools that you are registered for in Schooltool. (You will have the option to opt-out if you choose not to receive emails, texts, and/or phone calls. To receive texts, you also have to opt-in per the instructions in the Tips article below. )

Please be prepared to present your government issued ID (e.g. drivers license, state ID card, etc.).
WG Food Service Menu & Nutrislice App Update
School menus are posted on the District website and the Nutrislice App. Meals do not have to be pre-ordered this year via the Nutrislice App. Elementary students are ordering lunch in the classroom daily, and breakfast will be available to all students upon arrival at school. Breakfast and Lunch are FREE for all students.
