Weekly Flight Plan
August 28, 2020
Dear Families,
Unfortunately, first through fifth grade math workbooks were backordered at the time of our distribution of textbooks. They have now been delivered to our school and are ready to be picked up. Please follow the schedule below to retrieve your child’s math book. Unless specifically noted by our librarian Mrs. Capehart, every child in grades K-5 needs to return to school for a math book. We apologize for the inconvenience.
TK - 2nd grade students that requested a device and received a chromebook, will also be exchanging the chromebook for an ipad during this time. We are very excited to announce that TVUSD has purchased iPads for each one of our elementary students to use! These iPads will be used for Online Learning and when we return to the school site, each student will have 1:1 access to their own school iPad.
We understand that the last few weeks have been a little bumpy with learning how to use your current devices, applications, and links, but with the arrival of these new iPads we are hoping students and families will have an easier transition to distance learning.
Please Read if you already have a School iPad
If you already have a school iPad, you are going to keep the iPad issued to you.
Please Read if you have a School Chromebook
ALL Chromebooks must be returned to school.
When you return your school Chromebook and power cord next week, you will be issued an iPad and iPad power cord. All returned Chromebooks will be transferred to the Middle and High School.
Please Read if you DO NOT have a School-Issued Device
If you do not currently have a school issued device and would like to get one now, please complete the digital device responsibility form below and notify the front office at 951-302-5140 that you will be picking up a device on your assigned day. The Ipads MUST be set up in advance and we will not have time during distribution to set them up.
You will click on the Google or Microsoft icon to sign in or you will need to create an account if you don't have a current Google or Outlook email. It's a very easy process to create. (For TVUSD staff who are also parents, you should use the staff login button.) Select the link below to complete the process:

TVUSD is happy to offer students and their families device insurance. We know that things happen and so we are now offering insurance to give you peace of mind knowing that you're covered should something occur. The cost is $20 per device for the 20-21 school year. Please use the links provided below.

Friday Flag
Friday Flag has been a long standing tradition at Pauba Valley Elementary School. Pauba Valley students, staff and families meet on the blacktop behind the school on Friday mornings to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, recognize students and staff for accomplishments and birthdays, hear about upcoming events and review school-wide expectations. We have tried to put together a virtual Friday flag for you all to enjoy and to keep up to date on current events.
Technical Difficulties
We know that many of you have been having technical difficulties throughout the day since online learning began and we are so sorry for the additional challenges online learning has created. Our teachers and office staff have been trying to support you over the phone and virtually, but sometimes it is just easier to come to the site. Please know that if you have already utilized the tech support resources and contacted a staff member by phone or email, you can call the front office at 951-302-5140 and set up a time to come to school for some in person assistance. Sometimes it is hard to provide assistance virtually and we want to make sure we give you the help you need so your student can be successful. We are all in this together and we are here for you!
Here is the link to the district website where you can find many available resources for online learning, but when in doubt, just call us. https://www.tvusd.k12.ca.us/
