Daniel Wright Junior High School E-Notice - May 5, 2021

Support Student-Created Service Businesses

On Thursday May 6, Daniel Wright will host the Color War Pop-Up Shop. This one day only event takes place during all lunches and first Flex from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again after school from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

All Color War teams were tasked with creating a service project to benefit a charity organization. Several teams decided to ask for donations or make something to sell. To give teams a place to sell their crafts, the Pop-Up Shop was created.

All lunches will be served in classrooms on May 6 to allow for the Pop-Up Shop in the cafeteria. Two to three students will be at their team’s table during store hours. In-person students will then be invited to the cafeteria to shop and donate.

During the evening, remote students, their families, and other D103 community members are welcome to visit the Daniel Wright cafeteria from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to support these service projects at the Pop-Up Shop. We ask that shoppers make the purchases and donations quickly in order to allow other community members to shop while maintaining social distancing.

Please see the attached LookBook for more information about the service projects, the selected charities and what items will be for sale on May 6. Questions? Please reach out to Erinn Vincent at evincent@d103.org.
