Fund a Need: Gym Floor

This year, our "Fund a Need" will be dedicated to fixing and updating our gym floor. As you know, the current floor is in need of serious repair. In order to ensure we get the most affordable and smart deal, a committee has been formed to take on the research, organization, and fundraising for this task.

If you would like to be a part of the Gym Floor Committee, I invite you to attend our first meeting on June 13 at 6:00 pm in the school gymnasium. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at

Summer Learning

For the upcoming school year, students in grades 3-8 will be required to purchase a planner. You can purchase one for $5.00 through the school at Back to School Night, or you can purchase your own. Either way, students in grades 3-8 will be learning how to properly utilize a planner this year, and parents will be expected to sign planners on a weekly basis.

The first weeks of school, teachers will focus on teaching effective usage of planners, and throughout the year, students will use planners to write when assignments are due, when tests will be held, when larger projects are due, and other important events. This will become a means for parents to know what is happening at school.

Why is this important? Read more about using planners here:
