- Google alert- Google alert is one of googles hidden gems, it keeps track of trends and interesting topics or anything new that appears on the web... it keeps an eye on everything thats going on.

that whenever you write a poem or story or even a paper for your class, or a drawing or other artwork, you automatically own the copyright to it. Copyright is a form of protection given to the authors or creators of their work.
How to not violate copyright laws?
Be creative- come up with your own original ideas, make sure there isn't already something the same as it out there.
Be careful about writing fiction based on other works.
Don't take anything from the internet because it is almost always copyright, by default.
- Understand the scope of the copyright law.
- Do not rely on 'fair use' called 'fair dealing' in the official power to make legal decisions and judgements, fair use is simply a guarantee that copyright laws do not break the terms of freedom of speech and make critical commentary impossible.

- Downloading movies, clips and music from torrents is illegal. Do not use torrents for downloading books or softwares as well. Many movie companies are becoming proactive and fighting back piracy with legal action. If you download movies or music in countries such as the US, you might get a legal notice from its owners. And the consequences can be harrowing.
- Criminal penalties might include jail time, an order to perform community service, probation, loss of property, and the risk of lost work or educational privileges.
