Talking to Kids About the Coronavirus

Closing schools amid a virus can be really scary to children and can put stress on them as well as parents. During these challenging times, we need to continue to provide stability and reassurance to our little ones.

With the closing of schools due to Covid- 19, we wanted to be able to provide some resources and information that you can use at home. Children have questions about what they are hearing from the news, media, and the adults around them. When you are talking to your kids about a pandemic follow their cues, it's best to reassure them while providing factual, age-appropriate information in addition to steps on how to avoid the spread of the infection. Helpful Information for Parents

If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed and struggling to keep up with the ever-growing list of cancellations, closures and other news surrounding the novel coronavirus, we feel you. It’s a lot, so we put together some of the many questions parents are asking. We will be updating this page with more expert advice and links to coverage as things continue to develop. In the meantime, settle in, parents, because it’s looking like life, at least for the immediate future, is going to be anything but usual. Please click on the link below for more info.
