The Husky Update October 23, 2020
Information for our Highline Community Elementary School
From Principal Sanchez-Hart
Hello Highline Families,
We are very busy in the next couple of weeks with teaching and learning for our students, teachers, and our families.
- We are starting off next week with Spirit Week! Please read the flyer below for details of the theme for each day.
- On Tuesday, Highline will host our CCSD Board Member Representative for the Overland Feeder Area, Mrs. Janice McDonald. Please use this link to attend.
- We will be holding our parent teacher conferences by appointment. These will be held after school virtually on Wednesday & Thursday. Please make your appointment with your studentās homeroom teacher as this is an important opportunity to learn about how your student is progressing with academics and social and emotional behaviors.
- Thank you to the several families who attended the Parent Academy Literacy Night. We hope you learned a bit about how to encourage and support the academic learning at home to help your student become a strong reader.
- Families we need your help in celebrating the veterans in our community by sending in photos of family members who have or are currently serving in the armed forces. Please use this link. These photos will be used in Veteranās day Video in November.
On behalf of the Highline teachers and staff, thank you for sharing your children with us in our classrooms!
We are Highline - Proud, Strong and United!
Sincerely,
Diana
From our Assistant Principal - Ms. Ruiz
We hope you all had a restful fall break! As the weather begins to change, please remember to send your student to school outerwear appropriate for our crazy Colorado weather! Be sure to put their name or initials on the tag in case it is left outside at recess.
Respectfully,
Gaby
