HGES PTO Outdoor Learning Center
The Hickory Grove PTO is very excited to announce that we will be partnering with the School on a new capital project starting this year! Based on teacher and student input, we have prioritized the addition of an Outdoor Learning Center to the Hickory Grove Campus. The design phase of this project was approved by the PTO at the February 2020 meeting which authorized the PTO to spend up to $5,000 to help educate our staff, create our school’s vision, and identify design options and cost estimates to develop the space located outside the 5th grade / 1st grade wing of the school. PTO Liaisons will join a larger project team made up of HGES Staff and Teachers to kick off this project on March 2nd. More information will be shared regarding how this space will be used by teachers and students, the outcome of the design process, and fundraising needs. This will be a multi-year project that will be completed in phases as the funding becomes available. We look forward to working with the families and friends of Hickory Grove to turn this design into a reality!
