Latest From US Rowing
As of 01/15/2021, US Rowing has published an eight page document for the Re-Opening of the Boathouse and for Return to Training. The document is written as a guide for both small and large organizations which are still subject to local, state and federal guidelines in their own locations. It clearly states that each organization is responsible for developing their own protocols and plans. The goal of this document is to develop an approach that minimizes exposures as stay-at-home orders are lifted and the Opening of American protocols are put into place:

For Feb. we are trying to see if we have enough interest in a walking tour at Mt. Hope Cemetery, off Mt. Hope Ave at Robinson Dr. on Sat. Feb. 27th at 11am; and snowshoeing at Tinker Nature Park, 1525 Calkins Rd. Henrietta/Pittsford on a Saturday in March.
The Mt. Hope Cemetery Tour is conducted by the Friends of Mt. Hope Cemetery and the fee is $12. Here is the link for details: http://www.fomh.org/Events/SpecialTours/

What Else is February Known For?
On this date, a congressional proclamation was issued by Congressman John Porter as he read this resolution to the Congressional Record:
Here are a couple key statements from Congressman Porter's reading:
"Mr. Speaker, I would like to recognize February, one of the most difficult months in the United States for wild birds, as National Bird Feeding Month. During this month, individuals are encouraged to provide food, water, and shelter to help wild birds survive. This assistance benefits the environment by supplementing wild bird's natural diet of weed seeds and insects. Currently, one third of the U.S. adult population feeds wild birds in their backyards." Congressman Porter went on to say: "In addition, Mr. Speaker, backyard bird feeding is an entertaining, educational, and inexpensive pastime enjoyed by children and adults."
National Bird Feeding Month is a true "National" event, as it is supported by this congressional proclamation.
A bird seed reference chart from the Gardener's Network can also be found here: http://www.gardenersnet.com/birds/bird-feeding-chart.htm
This Month's Quote to Live By:
" None of us are getting out of here alive. So please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Eat the delicious food. Walk in the sunshine. Jump in the ocean. Say the truth your carrying in your heart like hidden treasure. Be silly. Be kind. Be weird. There is no time for anything else."
