A Message From Principal Abeal
Our school will celebrate all the kindness it spreads throughout the year during the week of the 12th –16th, with the Random Acts of Kindness (RAK). Students and staff will be recognized for their acts of kindness towards their schoolmates. The Bear Cubs Care Food Drive will be held once again, and all food items will be donated to The West Belmar Methodist Food Bank. Please send all food donations to the main office.
The kindergarten and first graders can count to the number 100! The teachers planned several activities to mark the day. The "bear cubs" even dressed as if they were 100 years old! The students spread their love and kindness to their fellow schoolmates by sharing special Valentines with each other, and dressing red to show their school spirit!
The Wall Township Public Schools will be closed for Presidents Day on the 19th & 20th. The schools will reopen on the 21st. The district will be hosting a Strings Festival for all orchestra musicians on Thursday, February 22nd at Wall Intermediate School. Please join us at this wonderful day of music featuring our amazing string musicians.
On Wednesday, February 28th, the fourth graders will be participating in the National Assessment of Educational Progress. This is a national assessment to measure the academic progress of our nation’s students. More information can be found at the following link: https://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/subject/participating/pdfs/2024_facts_for_districts.pdf
The bear cubs are looking forward to celebrating Read Across America next month. The PTA gift auction will be on Friday, March 8th at the Spring Lake Manor in Belmar.
