Ready, Set, Read!

Welcome back to another year at the Wernli Library!

The Wernli Library is an exciting place to be! Books, lessons, activities, special events, author visits, book fairs and more help to make our library a place for all our Wildcat readers. All classes from Pre-Kinder through 5th grade will visit the library this school year. Please read below for some helpful information about your Wernli Library. Library Classes begin September 12 The library is completing it's bi-annual inventory right now. Students will begin visiting the library the week of September 12. This month students will visit the library to learn about our library rules and procedures. Classes will visit the library every other week for library and book checkout time. Books are due every two weeks. Please check your child's classroom schedule for their day and time.	Parents can check out books, too! Our parents, grandparents, and community members are invited to check out books from the Wernli Library. You can check out up to 10 books for 3 weeks after creating a Wernli NISD Library account. Please use this link to sign up. You are welcome to visit the library before school or during the day. Please check in with the office first during the school day. Volunteers! We need help daily in the library. If you are available to assist with shelving and organizing books or with special events, please contact Mrs. Madrigal.	Mornings in the Library The library will be open every morning from 7:15-7:35 am. This will begin in late September. Parents may visit the library with their children before school. 2nd-5th graders may visit with a pass from the hallway teacher on duty on their specific day. Wildcats may check out books, use a computer, engage and explore our Makerspace stations, and of course, read. It is still a quiet and calm place, but you will here a little more buzz each morning as our Wildcats enjoy the library.
