Free financial aid events will be available to Minnesota students and families via Zoom in February!
The series, running February 8 through March 1, will cover general financial aid information, details on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Minnesota Dream Act for undocumented students, and other ways to pay for college. Read the press release here.
- All sessions will have simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, Somali and Hmong. Information for families about registering for the series is available here.
- Participants who attend 4 out of 5 sessions will be eligible to win a $500 scholarship!
- These sessions are a collaborative effort between the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, Minnesota Department of Education, ECMC The College Place and Minnesota Goes to College.
Winter Sports - Postseason Tournaments
Our Winter Sports will soon be competing in postseason tournaments, where they hope to advance to larger venues in Rochester and the Twin Cities. These competitions will take us outside of our district policies & recommendations surrounding COVID, which means we will have to follow the requirements of whatever venue/city we compete in.
Currently:
- Athletes will not need to mask or show vaccination status/negative test result to compete
- Spectators should expect to wear masks at all postseason events held outside of Goodhue
- If our teams/individuals reach the state tournament, spectators over 5 years old may be required to provide either vaccination cards or negative test results in order to attend (along with masks)
Policies and guidelines are continuously examined by MDE and the MSHSL and can change at any time. Our school's main focus will be on providing a complete and meaningful postseason experience for all of our athletes.
