Manitou Springs Middle School

January 29th, 2021

Dear Manitou Springs Middle School Community,

I can’t believe how quickly time is flying by. This week, our Parent Action Committee (PAC) and Partners for Healthy Choices (PHC) teamed up to provide all students with healthy fruit smoothies during lunch. Thank you to PAC and PHC for bringing a little more joy with this extra lunch time treat.

Communication when your child is sick

When your child is sick and you complete the COVID intake form, a member of the district COVID response team will reach out to you. Timely communication with the COVID response team is critical and helps us determine next steps. Your communication and quick response helps us keep students learning in person. Thank you for your support.

COVID Intake Form

If your student has been exposed to a close contact with COVID 19, diagnosed with COVID 19, or are in the process of being tested for COVID 19 and/or having symptoms, or someone in your household is being tested or suspected of having COVID 19, please fill out the attached COVID intake form and keep them home until you hear further direction from a member of the district’s COVID Response Team. The form is also available on the main page of the district website by clicking on the green box titled ‘MSSD COVID Intake Form’.

Upcoming Schedule

Your student is expected to come to campus on their assigned cohort days. It will be counted as an unexcused absence if a student does not attend school in person on those days. Please contact Jenny Guynn (719-685-2127) if you have questions about attendance.
