This first general PTA meeting will be Tuesday, July 29th from 7pm-8pm in the media center. Please join us. We will be talking about our BIG project for the year.
We had a great kick off to the school year with the Tea and Tissue program for kindergarten parents. Thank you Allyson Arp for coordinating the event and Ms Chapman and Ms Fillard for you counseling support.
Name The Garden Contest:
Our new School Learning Garden is located on the 3-5 playground right outside the cafeteria doors! Students in grades 3-5 can visit during their recess time and K-2 teachers can take a moment immediately before or after lunch to take their class to go take a peak. The winner will be featured in next years yearbook!!
Have fun visiting the garden and submitting your contest ideas!
PTA Positions 2014-2015:
Do you have an extra 30 minutes a month and a creative flair? The PTA is looking for a volunteer to update our two bulletin boards at the front of the school. All supplies will be provided.
Attention hockey fans! Our Hurricanes fundraiser needs a volunteer the 2014-15 school year. The Hurricane team provides all materials. Time commitment is low.

School Store: Opens Tuesday July 22, 2014
Thursdays: 3-5 kids welcome from 8:00-8:25am
The school store sells little pencils, erasers, fun little school items for kids to purchase - prices range from $0.10 - $2.00, so kids can easily afford to buy something even with a little bit of pocket change. It is located at the end of the main hallway, adjacent to the 2nd grade hallway.

PTA Nominating Committee:
The Partners in Education committee is hoping to find volunteers with sales and marketing backgrounds to help recruit local business to partner with our school. Most work can be done from home by phone. Time commitment is as much or as little as you can find in your schedule.
