Summer Enrichment Packets
Thank you, parents and guardians, for all you do for your children. Our hope for you this summer is that you get many opportunities to learn and grow together doing things that you love! Whether it is outside playing ball, hiking, swimming, or inside watching movies and playing games, we hope you enjoy being together!
For those rainy days, feel free to check out the enrichment packet linked below. Your child may have come home with a paper copy of this as well. If interested, feel free to print the packet of the grade that your child just completed in the 22-23 school year. Please do not let them work ahead, as we will use these packets again in future years.

22-23 GT Grade Level Cohort
Shout out to our amazing GLC team of teachers who have been working hard with the GT Department this school year! The Grade Level Cohort is made up of 4 primary teachers; Sarah Pope and Ali Thompson from Northshore Elementary and Rachael Brantley and Ashton McNabb from Sequoyah Elementary. These four educators have used their expertise in their knowledge of students and curriculum, while receiving professional development about gifted education, to adapt, enhance, or create advancing resources for ALL primary teachers across the county. These resources provide opportunities for ALL students to have access to challenging thinking and problem-solving activities. Rachael, Ashton, Sarah, and Ali have also presented and shared their work at our Knox County District Learning Day for teachers and will continue to next school year. Please join us in thanking each of them for going above and beyond to support teachers and students across Knox County!
Calling ALL Treasure Hunters!
If you love a good scavenger hunt, then try out geocaching and earthcaching. Similar to an outdoor treasure hunt, you search for hidden “caches” and geological features using the GPS right on your smart phone. The mountains are in our backyard, so why not get out there and try something new together?
