CANADA IN 2060
45 years into the future
WHAT WILL CANADA LOOK LIKE IN 2060?
THE FEEL OF CANADA IN THE PRESENT DAY TO WHAT WILL BE APPROCHING...
IMMIGRANTS
Canada has approximately 250,000 immigrants that come to Canada each year due to the stability of Canada's population. The main areas where Canada receives most of our immigrants are from Asia, more specifically speaking China, India , and the Philippines.
By the year 2060 Canada's birth rate would be fairly low because of the education and others priorities in hand, but mainly due to the "baby boomers" all turning of age, which causes a drastic decrease in the births we'd get, to have a more balanced population. To prevent having a unstable population in the future, Canada's main relying resource would be to increase the amount of immigrants Canada allows each year.
DEMOGRAPHY
As of now 2013 recent studies have shown that Canada has a population around the 35.2( in millions)and a fairly low death rate but a much larger birth rate but still preety low, compared to what we used to have in the 1900s with very large death rates and equally or ever larger birth rates. But due to the education people are getting and the better quality of life people receive now the birth and death rates have decreased by a lot. The bulk of Canada's population are the group of the " baby boomers." in a couple decades time they'd all have retired which would be a massive increase on the amount of Canada's dependency load because now wed have to provide much more to take good care of those who aren't able to provide for them selves. with all this id probably predict that in 2060 Canada would have a massive decrease on the population itself and would have equally low birth and death rates and Canada's natural increase rates would probably be at its lowest in many years.
THE FIRST NATIONS
As of now Canada doesn't give much to all first nations people in consideration of what they've given to Canada in there pasts. Yet Canada still does appreciate what they've done and do support them. Many of the first nations own a Indian status card that is a like a legal document that shows you've been registered by a status Indian from the Indian act. By having the card your able to get many different benefits, and many services for them due to helping us. But some may not have the Indian status card or may have lost privileges due to who you've married there for they wouldn't be able to get what they're privileged for. by the next 45 years or so many of the first nations would stand up for there rights and get what they deserve. they'd be able to get what they've been promised to receive but haven't yet till today.
