DLC Cub News
Dewey L. Carter Elementary Weekly Update for November 8-12.
From Mrs. Frazier's Desk
Our Dewey Carter Family has been working hard each and everyday in the classroom, in the cafeteria, in the halls, and on the bus to be the best they can be. Our 4K and 5K students have enjoyed a visit from the Florence County Library with a guest reader. Our ELA classes have been working hard in the new Into Reading series and in their Reading Stations. In math our 1st-6th grade students have all been working very hard in Reflex Math and practicing those math facts to qualify to go to our Jingle Bell Rock Party in December. We are so proud of our students hard work each day.
As the days get shorter, and it becomes colder, please make sure that your children are coming to school dressed for the weather. We love for our students to enjoy recess outside when the weather allows, so please make sure they remember to grab that coat before heading out the door.
We have noticed a lot of parents dropping students off in the front in the morning. The front of the school is reserved for our Busses and our 4K students ONLY in the morning. Please make sure that you are dropping your child off in carline, unless you are dropping a 4K student off. This will help make sure all our students are safe in the mornings, as the parking lot can be very busy with staff members arriving as well. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding with this as we continue to make our school a safe place for our staff, students, and community.
