Important: Automated Attendance Calls for All Elementary Schools
In order to increase our safety measures, all elementary schools will begin sending out automated messages when students are marked absent from school. This automated message will be sent at approximately 11:00 AM each school day. We still ask that you call your child out before 8:50 AM when you know he/she will be absent. Please be aware that you may still receive an automated phone call even though you've reported the absence. In addition, please be certain that your HAC phone number and email address (not a student email) are up-to-date. This automated attendance messaging will begin on Monday, February 26th.
Schweitzer School Meeting
Throughout the year, Albert Schweitzer has a school-wide meeting bringing together all students and staff in the school community. We begin by doing the Pledge of Allegiance together and recognizing someone in our school community that goes above and beyond making our school a special place to grow and learn. In January, we honored Mrs. Pulak for all her hard work with our Safety Patrol and school-wide efforts throughout her busy day. Mr. Jones was on hand to present a 'We Build Futures' award to Mrs. Pulak for her efforts. Thank you to Mrs. Pulak for helping develop lifelong leaders! Following that, our School-wide Behavior Support team presented a quiz game on appropriate C.A.R.E.S. behavior, and students from each homeroom participated. We even had a special visit from the Carl Sandburg cheerleaders!! GO T-E-A-M!!
