PAHUATLÁN
HISTORY OF THE PLACE
The territory of what is now the municipality of Pahuatlán was part of the ancient kingdom of Totonacapan. When Totonacs began to withdraw from the mountains, the area was occupied by Nahua and Otomi (or ñähñus as they call themselves) who disputed territory until the arrival of the Augustinian friars.

Cafetalera Don Conche Tellez
Although it is the birthplace of amate paper, Pahuatlán also has a basic and delicious product: coffee. San Pablito

Suspension bridge
